The Floral Decorator first opened its doors in 1998. Since then, the business has grown steadily into one of Sydney 's leading boutique florists - a status recognised by the industry with many floristry awards. Today, The Floral Decorator maintains a wide range of corporate and business floral installations in offices, reception areas, retail outlets and entertainment venues. We also specialise in creating exquisite displays of flowers for functions and events for both individuals and organisations.

The design of wedding flowers is one of our most treasured and enjoyable services. Our experienced team loves nothing more than helping your create your dream floral vision for the ceremony and reception. The Floral Decorator team is led by Kelly Thomas, who has had a life-long passion for flowers. Some of her earliest childhood memories are of hearing the voices of flowers, a beautiful conversation that continues to this very day. With such a delicate beauty and all too brief lifespan, Kelly has always strived to make the most of flowers' precious energy to enhance our surroundings and celebrate life's special moments.

Kelly began working as a professional florist in Melbourne 1984. After five years learning the fundamentals, she headed off to Europe for a six year stint working with and learning from a number master floral designers. Her work took her to traditional balls, gala dinners, functions and events across Europe including France, Holland, Germany and the UK. In London, she had the privilege of working with the Queen's appointed florists, Edward Goodyear.

It was this experience that taught her how to create stunning floral decorations for large events, functions, corporate launches, conventions - and of course wedding receptions.
